"The topics “microoptics and adaptive optics” cover a broad range of optical technologies.
Where microoptics is representing sophisticated micro-structuring technologies and new effects due to synthetic materials,
adaptive optics is defining a new generation of optical components – programmable optical systems. This Summer School focuses
on technologies, applications but especially on synergies between these fields in terms of transition from microoptical elements
to adaptive optical systems and the variety of effects and applications based on comparable technological approaches.
The summer school "microoptics and adaptive optics" will cover topics related to static and dynamic microoptical components,
optical fibres, nanooptic materials and optical systems integrating one ore more of these components.
For all topics, the program covers introductory talks which will provide knowledge about the effects that are most relevant
for the different components. However, the main part of the summer school will be dedicated to the applications of the components
and the optical systems that incorporate them. "
